Seems like summer began only a week or two ago. But it's nearing the end of July and for many school districts, classes will begin before Labor Day. YIKES!

First of all, thanks again to the lovely folks at Congregation Neveh Shalom for inviting me to be part of their Shabbat Unplugged last week. Beautiful weather, a place packed with people of all ages singing and swaying with the music, and buckets of kavanah (intention) and ruach (spirit) made for an absolutely beautiful time. Cantor Bletstein, I look forward to making music with you and your crew again!

Secondly, tickets are selling for A Summer of Hope, a series of shows raising funds and awareness for three organizations that feed the hungry in our community. I've added the third and final date of this series and hope to see folks at each show!  Here's the finalized schedule of shows:

July 31, 4pm: Exclusive House Concert, West side Portland (Address provided upon registration):
http://www.brownpapertickets.com/event/2569496
Benefiting the Oregon Food Bank

August 28, 4pm: Exclusive House Concert, East side Portland (Address provided upon registration):
http://www.brownpapertickets.com/event/2569512
Benefiting the Portland Food Project

NOTE: These first two House Concerts will include time for schmoozing, snacks (provided), and a chance to hear from representatives of the beneficiary organizations. I'll feature lots of new songs plus some old favorites.
Seating for these intimate House Concerts is limited. The first ten to register for either of these house concerts will receive a special SURPRISE at the show!

September 18, 6pm
: Jade Lounge (2348 SE Ankeny St, Portland)
Jade Lounge is a small, intimate venue located in inner-eastside Portland. Seating is limited so come early. Show starts at 6pm sharp.
No Cover, but please bring cash and/or food donations.
Benefiting The Sunshine Pantry

These concerts will be my last in the Portland area for awhile. After High Holy Days, I will be on tour throughout the fall and winter months. So if you want to hear the new stuff that will be featured on my upcoming album, this is the time to come out and enjoy for a good cause! Hope to see you soon!
