So I am percolating an alternative idea. It would be local, very grass-roots and cooperative, in the spirit of all my history in the bicycle scene; and it would hopefully empower me and my fellows in this field to share resources and skills with each other without the necessity of a large, administration-heavy organization.
If it works it could be very successful for all involved and would be of great benefit to the whole Jewish community. I see it as a win-win situation.
I have reached out to a couple of teaching colleagues and hope they will respond soon. I was all down in the dumps about not being able to attend NewCAJE, but now I am hopeful that something else might be created out of this that could be really good for the local community. Stay tuned.
