1. I am wrapping up a very successful and wonderful trip to the Kansas City area this weekend and head home soon. Many thanks to my friends at Congregation B'nai Jehudah for inviting me back for a FIFTH Incredible June at Machane Jehudah day camp! It has been crazy, chaotic, silly and sweet hanging out with a particularly younger bunch this year, singing, praying, playing and creating together for two weeks. It comes to a close tomorrow afternoon.
This Friday evening, Kansas City friends are invited to join me and the largest band ever assembled for Shabbat In The Park, at Gezer Park in Leawood, KS at 5:30 pm. Bring a blanket, picnic supper and a hat, and dress comfortably -- many of us will be in shorts and t-shirts -- to welcome Shabbat in the outdoors.
2. I continue my Kansas Adventure with a short stay in Lawrence (also known by its initials, LFK), playing next Monday night 6/26 at Lucia Beer Garden & Grill. All of the door ($5 cover per person) will be donated to the Americana Music Academy in Lawrence for kids' music scholarships. I am a fan and friend of the Americana, and very happy to support their mission of "teaching America's music" to all ages.
3. Finally, I launched my Indiegogo campaign last night to raise funds for my next recording project, A Sliver In The Sky. Check out the campaign, tell your friends, and thanks so much for supporting Jewish Music Made By Hand.
Have a great weekend and Shabbat Shalom!
