I just returned from an amazing SLBC (Song Leader Boot Camp), #SLBC19 where I learned, taught, made music and ruach with old and new friends, and even managed a short visit to the home of #alvarezguitars Alvarez Guitars, where I met the CEO of the company and was treated like an old friend.
I'm now home for a little while, where I'm working on a number of projects:
-- seeking out resources for additions to our family's Haggadah;
-- narrowing down the songs I've written over the last two years and figuring out which ones will go on my FOURTH album of original Jewish music. I'll be working on my crowdfunding campaign, which I plan to launch in the summer.
-- putting together dates for June in NY/NJ (including a return to the Women Cantors' Network conference), and dates in the Pacific NW and in the Southeast in Fall 2019.
Finally, I'm whipping up a fresh batch of travel cajons this week. I've already taken reservations on two of them and will have five more available, at $50 each plus shipping. (Pro tip: If you live near friends, order two or three and have them shipped together to save money.) CONTACT ME if you want to order one, because they'll go fast and I won't be making more until late March.
Although it's still cold and occasionally icy here in Portland, Spring is beginning to bud here and there. I hope you'll enjoy the signs of the season where you are.
Stay open to the interestingness all around us!
